
Patna, March 20: Bihar Minister Sanjay Singh praised Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s ‘Samriddhi Yatra,’ stating that the CM is delivering numerous benefits to the people of the state. He noted the enthusiasm and energy that Kumar exhibits during these journeys. “I observed his recent tour, and his speech resonated deeply with the audience,” Singh remarked.
Commenting on the Patna High Court’s decision to grant bail to Mokama MLA Anant Singh in the Dular Chand Yadav murder case, Singh expressed acceptance of the court’s ruling. “Whatever decision the court makes is acceptable to us, as it serves the interests of all. Therefore, we welcome the court’s verdict,” he stated.
Regarding Congress MP Shashi Tharoor’s remarks, Singh acknowledged him as a capable opposition leader. However, he emphasized that in a parliamentary system, such statements should be backed by active participation in the legislature. “Debates in Parliament should focus on public issues. It is the duty of MPs to uphold the dignity of the house and not waste its time,” he added. Singh pointed out that the Mahagathbandhan has yet to make a mark in the Rajya Sabha elections, with Congress legislators questioning their leadership.
Addressing Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s comments on the Election Commission’s transfers in Bengal, Singh noted that she is often at odds with the central government’s plans.
On Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath’s statements, Singh remarked that wars occur for various reasons, but Indians are generally peaceful. “I welcome his statements,” he said.
Sanjay Singh commended Bihar’s Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary, stating that crime rates have decreased during his tenure, with criminals fleeing the state.
Regarding preparations for the summer heat in Bihar, Singh mentioned that the department conducts regular meetings every Tuesday concerning the CGRC portal. “We review reports from all executive engineers across Bihar to understand the issues arising in various regions. Strict action is taken wherever deficiencies or irregularities are found. Recently, we suspended two executive engineers due to unsatisfactory performance and repeated complaints against them,” he concluded.
