Patna, March 5: Bihar’s Water Resources Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary addressed speculations regarding Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s possible entry into the Rajya Sabha. He stated that any decision will be made at the discretion of Nitish Kumar himself. “He makes the decisions, and everything will unfold according to his wishes. Discussions are ongoing about the Rajya Sabha, but the final call is his,” Chaudhary remarked.
When asked about Nishant Kumar’s potential role in the party, Chaudhary noted that there is a growing interest in Nishant’s entry into politics. “Party members and workers are eager for Nishant to join. He is young and educated, and people see leadership qualities in him. Everyone in the party wishes for him to step into politics,” he added.
Regarding Ramnath Thakur’s Rajya Sabha candidacy, he mentioned that both nominations would occur simultaneously when the time comes. He emphasized that Nishant’s joining of the JD(U) is merely a technical matter, as he is not affiliated with any other party. “We have made it clear that everyone wants Nishant to join the party as soon as possible and actively participate in its activities,” he said.
