Bihar Chief Minister Pays Tribute to Karpoori Thakur at Memorial Museum

Patna, April 18: Bihar’s Chief Minister, Samrat Chaudhary, paid homage to the late Karpoori Thakur, a former Chief Minister and recipient of the Bharat Ratna, by laying a floral wreath at his statue located in the Jananayak Karpoori Thakur Smriti Museum.

During this occasion, the Chief Minister also inspected various sections of the museum, taking note of the exhibits that highlight Thakur’s life, struggles, and contributions to social justice.

While touring the facility, he instructed officials to enhance the museum’s maintenance and improve amenities for visitors. The event took place at the museum complex on Deshratn Marg, which saw a significant turnout of attendees and officials.

Earlier, newly elected Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary paid heartfelt tribute to Tatya Tope on his martyrdom day and extended congratulations and best wishes to the people of Bihar on World Heritage Day.

He shared this information on the social media platform ‘X’ along with a photograph. He stated, β€œOn the martyrdom day of the great freedom fighter and a leading commander of the First War of Independence in 1857, Tatya Tope, I pay my heartfelt tribute. His indomitable courage, sacrifice, and dedication to the motherland will always inspire us to serve the nation.”

On the occasion of World Heritage Day, he posted another message wishing the people of Bihar. He urged everyone to commit to preserving and promoting their rich history, cultural heritage, and heritage sites, ensuring that future generations can take pride in their glorious traditions.
