
Patna, March 18: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar hosted an Iftar feast at his residence on Wednesday, inviting fasting individuals to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan. A large number of attendees, including dignitaries and community members, participated in the event.
Before the Iftar, Hazrat Syed Shah Shamimuddin Ahmad Munami elaborated on the significance of Ramadan and fasting at Mittan Ghat, leading a collective prayer. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and other invited guests joined in the prayers, seeking blessings for the state’s progress, unity, and love among its people.
The Chief Minister warmly welcomed the guests and fasting individuals. The event was attended by Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, along with Bihar Legislative Council Chairman Awadhesh Narayan Singh, and several ministers including Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Shrawan Kumar, Dilip Jaiswal, Sunil Kumar, Mo. Jama Khan, Sanjay Kumar Singh, Santosh Suman, and Ramkripal Yadav. BJP State President Sanjay Sarawagi and JD(U) State President Umesh Kushwaha, along with various legislators and senior administrative and police officials, were also present.
Minister Vijay Chaudhary remarked, “The Chief Minister has consistently organized Iftar events every year. This year is no exception. His commitment to the welfare of minorities is well-known in the state and the country.”
He further emphasized that political sentiments should not dictate actions, as politics has its own pace and should not be intertwined with emotions. Notably, the JD(U) had organized an Iftar event on Tuesday, following similar gatherings by the Hindustani Awam Morcha and the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas).
