Bhopal, July 29: The capital of Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal, has officially welcomed its fourth railway station with the inauguration of Nishatpura Railway Station.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated the station, emphasizing that the expansion of railway facilities is ongoing in preparation for the upcoming Simhasth 2028. He noted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the country is undergoing significant transformation, with new milestones being achieved across various sectors. Over the past 12 years, the railway sector has experienced unprecedented growth.
With the opening of Nishatpura Station, trains traveling from New Delhi to Ujjain-Indore will no longer need to change tracks or engines. The Chief Minister further stated that the station will now serve as a stop for two trains, providing a new convenience for passengers. The trains stopping at Nishatpura symbolize the essence of Shiva and Shakti. The newly developed station will accommodate the Dr. Ambedkar Nagar-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Malwa Express and the Veraval-Jabalpur Express.
CM Yadav highlighted that the Indian Railways is continuously providing new facilities in anticipation of Simhasth 2028, which is expected to attract around 400 million pilgrims to Madhya Pradesh. The new railway station will play a crucial role in alleviating passenger congestion. Developed at a cost of ₹14 crore, Nishatpura Station will open new opportunities for citizens, offering various new amenities. It will save time for travelers commuting between New Delhi and Ujjain-Indore, allowing direct train services without the need to go to the main Bhopal station.
The Chief Minister also announced that the complete electrification of railway tracks in Madhya Pradesh has been achieved. The Indian Railways has introduced modern trains like Vande Bharat Express and Amrit Bharat Express. Additionally, modern coaches for trains will now be manufactured near Bhopal. The state is evolving alongside the nation.
