
New Delhi, September 6 (Daily Kiran) : Bank of Baroda is offering a significant opportunity for job seekers in the banking sector. The bank has announced the recruitment of 2,482 Local Bank Officer (LBO) positions on a regular basis. These vacancies include 981 for General candidates, 358 for Scheduled Castes (SC), 240 for Scheduled Tribes (ST), 600 for Other Backward Classes (OBC), and 303 for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).
The distribution of these 2,482 LBO posts varies by state, with 80 positions in Andhra Pradesh, 20 in Arunachal Pradesh, 40 in Assam, 21 in Goa, and a substantial 1,185 in Gujarat. Other states include Jammu and Kashmir with 15, Karnataka with 418, Kerala with 49, Maharashtra with 218, and more, totaling various positions across the country.
The online application process began on August 18 and will close on September 7. Candidates interested in applying for the LBO positions can complete their registration on the official Bank of Baroda website before the deadline.
Applicants must possess a graduation degree from a recognized university or institution. Additionally, they must have at least one year of experience as an officer in any scheduled commercial bank listed under the Reserve Bank of India’s second schedule. Proficiency in the local language of the state they are applying for is also required.
The age limit for applicants is set between 21 and 30 years, calculated as of August 1. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.
Selection will be based on an online examination, multiple rounds of tests, a psychometric test, group discussions, personal interviews, document verification, and a local language proficiency test. Selected candidates can expect a monthly salary ranging from ₹48,480 to ₹85,920, along with additional benefits and allowances.
During the application process, candidates need to pay a fee of ₹850 for General/EWS/OBC categories and ₹175 for SC, ST, Persons with Disabilities, Ex-Servicemen, and women.
