Banda Administration on High Alert for Bakrid Celebrations

Banda, May 27: The administration in Banda, Uttar Pradesh, is on high alert to ensure that the Bakrid festival is celebrated peacefully and in an organized manner. Ahead of the festival, a district-level peace committee meeting was held, involving administrative officials, police, and representatives from various communities to discuss necessary arrangements.

Additional District Magistrate Kumar Dharmendra stated that, in addition to the district-level meetings, all sub-district magistrates have conducted peace committee meetings in their respective jurisdictions. These meetings focused on improving cleanliness, drinking water, electricity, and other essential services during Bakrid.

Kumar Dharmendra made it clear that the sacrifice of any banned animals will not be permitted, and open-air sacrifices will not be allowed. The administration has issued strict directives to ensure law and order during the festival and to prevent any disturbances.

He also mentioned that coordination will be established between the municipality and event organizers for the proper disposal of remains after the sacrifices. The administration aims to maintain cleanliness throughout the district and ensure that the public does not face any difficulties.

The issues and suggestions raised by attendees during the peace committee meeting have been taken seriously. The ADM stated that the concerns discussed have been forwarded to the relevant departments and officials, with instructions to resolve them within two days.

The district administration has appealed to the public to celebrate Bakrid in a spirit of brotherhood, peace, and harmony, while adhering to the guidelines issued by the administration.
