Haridwar: Baba Ramdev emphasized the need for unity among all communities to safeguard Sanatan Dharma against forces attempting to weaken it globally. Speaking in Haridwar, he stressed that people belonging to any religion, caste, or sect must stay united and avoid divisions based on such differences.
Avoid Internal Conflicts Between Saints and Government
Baba Ramdev highlighted that both the government and the saint community should refrain from internal clashes. He warned that infighting would place the community in a difficult position, especially when anti-Hindu forces are actively trying to break the nation apart. According to him, these forces label Sanatan Dharma negatively and seek to divide the country.
Unity Among All Religions Key to Progress
He also pointed out that all people living in India, whether Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, or Christian, share common ancestry. Baba Ramdev urged everyone to foster unity for accelerating the nation’s development. He called for forgiveness in case of mistakes and discouraged speaking ill of others, stating that such behaviour should be rejected under any circumstances.
Democracy Must Be Respected; Focus on Strengthening Nation
Commenting on the controversy surrounding Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), Baba Ramdev said that questioning EVMs usually occurs when political parties fail to secure expected election results. He urged all to accept the public’s decision gracefully in a democratic system. He underlined that democracy thrives when both the ruling party and opposition are strong, and warned against accusations that weaken democratic roots.
Additionally, Baba Ramdev called for recognizing the cow as a global mother rather than just a national symbol. He stressed the importance of protecting cows by giving them priority in agriculture and encouraged every Hindu to rear at least one cow. He urged people to move beyond rituals and take active steps to save cows, linking this to India’s strength and global respect. He cited Israel as an example of a strong nation that deters atrocities against its community worldwide.
Finally, Baba Ramdev congratulated all recipients of the Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan awards and suggested that sannyasis (ascetics) should also be honoured with such distinctions, affirming that they deserve this recognition.
