Ayodhya Celebrates Ram Navami with Grand Surya Tilak Ceremony

New Delhi, March 27: The celebration of Lord Ram’s birth festival is in full swing across the country. In Ayodhya, the festival of Ram Navami is being celebrated with great fervor. A magnificent ‘Surya Tilak’ ceremony was held for Ram Lalla at the grand Ram Temple, filling the atmosphere with immense joy and devotion among the devotees. The ‘Surya Tilak’ illuminated Ram Lalla’s forehead for nearly four minutes.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also witnessed the live broadcast of the ‘Surya Tilak’ from his residence, applauding the divine moment. Photos and videos have surfaced showing PM Modi watching the grand ceremony on television, where he offered his prayers to Ram Lalla with folded hands.

This is not the first time PM Modi has been a witness to such a divine moment. In 2024, while addressing a rally in Assam, he took time to watch the extraordinary ‘Surya Tilak’ live via a tablet from a helicopter.

The ‘Surya Tilak’ for Ram Lalla was performed at noon during the auspicious Abhijit Muhurat. Sun rays fell on the deity’s forehead, coinciding with the celebration of Ram Lalla’s birth. Fourteen priests were present in the sanctum sanctorum, and after the ‘Tilak’, an Aarti was performed. The doors of the temple were briefly closed afterward.

From early morning, a steady stream of devotees arrived in Ayodhya, traveling from distant areas to partake in this religious ritual. After taking holy baths, devotees flocked to the temple to have a glimpse of Ram Lalla. People stood in long queues, eagerly waiting for their turn to see Lord Ram. The entire city resonated with chants of “Jai Shri Ram,” creating an atmosphere of devotion and excitement.

The district administration ensured comprehensive security for the occasion. Police forces were strategically deployed at various locations to prevent any untoward incidents, allowing devotees to perform their rituals without any hassle.
