ASUS Unveils Zephyrus G14 and G16 with Intel Core Ultra CPUs and OLED Displays at CES 2026

At CES 2026, ASUS Republic of Gamers introduced the refreshed Zephyrus gaming series with two new models: the Zephyrus G14 and Zephyrus G16. These laptops feature powerful specifications and striking OLED screens, designed to deliver a high-end gaming experience in portable designs.

The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 (2026) is a compact 14-inch laptop weighing approximately 1.5 kilograms. It is powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, offering up to 50 TOPS of neural processing power for AI tasks and enhanced performance in gaming and productivity applications. The G14 supports graphics configurations up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU, providing strong rendering and ray-tracing capabilities for its size category.

Additionally, ASUS offers a variant of the G14 equipped with the latest AMD Ryzen AI processors paired with an RTX 5060 GPU. The laptop’s 3K Nebula HDR OLED display features a 120Hz refresh rate, a fast 0.2 ms response time, and peak brightness reaching 1100 nits. This combination suits competitive gaming and media consumption alike. The audio system includes six speakers, while the chassis is crafted from CNC-milled aluminium and features a distinctive Slash Lighting array on the lid. Connectivity options include Thunderbolt 4, USB-C and USB-A ports, HDMI 2.1, a full-size SD card reader, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6.0.

The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 (2026) caters to gamers desiring a larger screen without compromising performance. It sports a 16-inch 2.5K Nebula HDR OLED panel with a 240Hz refresh rate, a 0.2 ms response time, and 1100 nits peak brightness. This display supports NVIDIA G-SYNC for smoother visuals with compatible GPUs. Like the G14, the G16 houses Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors and pairs them with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, enabling smooth gameplay in graphically demanding titles as well as efficient creative workflows.

The G16 benefits from a higher GPU power limit in manual mode for sustained performance. Both models leverage 50 TOPS of NPU compute power for AI-enhanced features such as real-time upscaling and generative tools. Cooling improvements include enhanced ventilation, redesigned bottom panels, and liquid metal applied on the CPU to manage heat from the more powerful hardware.

The larger chassis of the Zephyrus G16 allows for a built-in full-size SD card slot and a wider selection of ports, while maintaining a manageable weight of 1.85 kilograms. Connectivity features mirror those of the G14, including Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, Thunderbolt 4, and multiple USB-A ports.

ASUS plans to launch the 2026 Zephyrus G14 and G16 models globally later this year. Details on pricing and regional availability are expected to be announced closer to the release dates.
