Assam Government Ensures Direct Benefits to Citizens Bank Accounts: Pabitra Margherita

Guwahati, April 1: The BJP is fully mobilizing for the Assam Assembly elections, having released its manifesto. Meanwhile, Congress claims that the public will trust them this time.

In response to Congress’s assertions, Union Minister Pabitra Margherita stated that the public desires a government that ensures no obstacles in accessing benefits from government schemes. The Assam BJP government is delivering these benefits directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts, and the people of Assam trust the BJP administration.

Margherita emphasized that the public has not forgotten the Congress’s tenure, which was marred by corruption under the guise of schemes. He pointed out that the decision on who will form the next government in Assam lies with the people and time will tell. He provided an example of the extent of corruption during Congress rule, particularly in job allocations.

He highlighted that under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi and the leadership of Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Assam government has created 165,000 jobs with complete transparency. The public is satisfied with the BJP government.

Addressing the opposition’s concerns regarding the LPG crisis amid ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, Margherita asserted that the Indian government is working diligently to resolve this issue. He noted that while it has become a significant problem for other countries, the situation in India remains stable, suggesting that the opposition is merely trying to incite panic.

Referring to the BJP’s manifesto for the Assam elections, he stated that the people have witnessed their work, and they promise to reach even greater heights. The manifesto includes provisions for 200,000 additional government jobs, over ₹18,000 crores for a ‘flood-free Assam’, 1.5 million additional PM housing schemes for the poor, and strict actions against illegal encroachments and ‘land jihad’.
