
New Delhi, March 15: In a thrilling English Premier League match, Arsenal FC showcased a stellar performance, defeating Everton FC 2-0. Meanwhile, Manchester City faced West Ham United in a tightly contested match that ended in a 1-1 draw.
Arsenal struggled to break through Everton’s solid defense during the match held in London. Coach Mikel Arteta’s team fired over 20 shots but found it challenging to score for much of the game.
In the dying moments, Arsenal finally found success when Viktor Gyökeres netted a goal in the 89th minute, giving the team a crucial lead. This goal came from a brilliant cross by young player Max Daumann. Daumann then scored again in the 97th minute, sealing the victory for Arsenal.
With this goal, Daumann made history, becoming the youngest player to score in the Premier League at just 16 years and 73 days old. This victory temporarily gave Arsenal a 10-point lead in the standings, increasing the pressure on Manchester City.
On the other hand, the match between Manchester City and West Ham ended in a 1-1 stalemate. Bernardo Silva put City ahead with a stunning shot in the 31st minute. However, West Ham’s Konstantinos Mavropanos quickly equalized with a powerful header.
City created numerous opportunities throughout the match but could not secure a win, thanks to an outstanding performance from West Ham’s goalkeeper, Mads Hermansen.
In other matches, Newcastle United FC defeated Chelsea FC 1-0, with Anthony Gordon scoring the only goal in the 18th minute.
