Arsenal Dominates Lille with 3-0 Victory in Champions League Clash
Arsenal secured a convincing 3-0 win against Lille in the Champions League, scoring all goals in just seven minutes of the second half.

New Delhi, October 14 (Daily Kiran) : Arsenal continued their impressive form in the Champions League with a decisive 3-0 victory over Lille. The Gunners showcased their prowess by scoring all three goals within the first seven minutes of the second half, marking their second win in this season’s league phase.
In the first half, Lille managed to hold Arsenal at bay, displaying solid defense and preventing any major errors. However, the dynamics shifted dramatically after halftime. Arsenal intensified their pressure, leaving Lille with little opportunity to escape their own half. The deadlock was finally broken in the 64th minute when Jurriën Timber netted a stunning individual goal.
Just three minutes later, Arsenal doubled their lead. Timber again played a crucial role, winning the ball through high pressing. Martin Ødegaard advanced the ball, setting up Bukayo Saka, who finished precisely from inside the box. Arsenal sealed their victory with a third goal in the 71st minute.
This goal was a result of brilliant teamwork among the substitutes. A clever one-two between Kai Havertz, Ødegaard, and Saka culminated in Saka sliding the ball into the lower corner. This marked Saka’s 19th European goal for Arsenal, placing him second on the club’s all-time list for goals scored in Europe, trailing only Thierry Henry.
With this win, Arsenal set a new record of 14 consecutive victories in the Champions League group stage, closing in on Bayern Munich’s record of 17 wins. The Gunners are set to face Bayern Munich next week, a matchup that promises to be a thrilling encounter.
