Abhijit Dipke Calls for Tiranga Protest in Connaught Place on October 16
Abhijit Dipke urges patriots to join a Tiranga protest in Connaught Place on October 16, opposing recent arrests of party leaders.

New Delhi, October 14 (Daily Kiran) : Abhijit Dipke, founder of the Cockroach People’s Party (CJP), has called for a ‘Tiranga’ protest at Central Park in Connaught Place, New Delhi, on October 16. This demonstration is in response to the arrest of party co-organizers Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka. Dipke is urging citizens to join him at 5 PM, carrying the national flag.
In a video message shared on the social media platform X, Dipke named the event “Lahra Do Tiranga.” He claims that Das and Ranka were imprisoned merely for waving the national flag.
“I request all patriots and flag lovers to gather at Central Park in Connaught Place on October 16 at 5 PM. We will wave the Tiranga and show that flying the flag is not a crime,” Dipke stated.
He also encouraged those unable to attend in person to organize Tiranga marches in their local areas. The purpose of the protest is to convey that the national flag is a symbol of pride and should not be considered a criminal act.
Dipke expressed that he is not concerned about the possibility of his own arrest following the protest. “My Tiranga is my pride, and I will wave it at all costs,” he asserted.
Earlier this week, Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka were placed in judicial custody for five days due to alleged trespassing at Jantar Mantar. Another CJP leader, Ajinkya Shinde, was released on bail.
Sources indicate that Das and Ranka are being held in separate barracks within Tihar Jail, with Das in Jail No. 2 and Ranka in Jail No. 4.
Their lawyer, Abhisht Hel, confirmed that both leaders were sent to judicial custody for five days. The trio was detained for allegedly entering Jantar Mantar without authorization, which has been removed as a designated protest site. The police have filed charges against them for trespassing, violating bond conditions, and obstructing government officials.
