New Delhi, March 25: The festival of Navratri, dedicated to the worship of the goddess, is currently being celebrated. Devotees observe fasts with devotion during this time. Actress Anu Aggarwal recently shared on social media that she has been fasting during Navratri for several years.
The ‘Aashiqui’ star expressed her unique perspective on fasting. She stated that what people consider fasting is actually about being mindful of what they eat. Anu noted that Navratri coincides with a seasonal change when the body naturally slows down. During this period, light and balanced meals help maintain health and prevent unnecessary illnesses.
Anu wrote, “What people call fasting is not really fasting. It’s about being aware of what you eat and what suits your body at that time. I personally cook mindfully.”
She revealed that she has been following this practice for years. Anu also engaged her fans by asking, “Do you cook? Let me know. Do it with love; it has many benefits.”
Active on social media, Anu regularly shares insights about health, lifestyle, and personal experiences with her followers. Recently, she reflected on her life-changing car accident in 1999, mentioning that it caused turmoil not just on her face but throughout her entire body. She said, “People only talked about my face, but I had to heal my whole body. I recovered with patience, acceptance, and joy.”
Anu considers yoga, discipline, mindful living, and faith as her greatest healing tools. She emphasized that continuing these practices has greatly aided her recovery.
