Angad Hasija Discusses Growth in the Television Industry

Mumbai, August 12: Actor Angad Hasija is currently seen in the TV serial ‘Tumse Tum Tak’ playing the role of Yashvardhan. He believes that the television industry has seen significant improvements. According to him, today’s directors are very clear about the shots they want and how they wish to shoot them.

He stated, “The television industry has improved a lot compared to before. One thing I miss is that previously, shows used to run for a long time, often four or five years. Now, they don’t last as long. Today, there is also a lot of variety. There wasn’t as much competition in the past. Now we have vertical shows and web series. I think you should find positivity in everything; otherwise, you will only see the negatives.”

He further remarked, “There was a time when the television industry was quite different. Channels now research what is happening around them and tailor their stories accordingly. There is a clear difference between then and now. Earlier, we had typical dramas, but now television is trying to showcase something different.” When asked about the challenges of portraying a character with a difficult mental state, he responded, “I believe in delivering a performance that doesn’t come off as overacting. It’s challenging to portray such a character and even more difficult to convey it effectively to the audience. If you are playing such a role, people should embrace it. In my first show, I played a character that received a lot of praise. I had to conduct extensive research for that role. I met individuals who were mentally disturbed and observed their body language and dialogue delivery. I noted how they stuttered while speaking and how they reacted when scared.”
