Amruta Fadnavis Advocates for Cancer Awareness in Mumbai Event

Mumbai, September 6 (Daily Kiran) : Cancer remains a serious health concern, and raising awareness about it is crucial. This message was at the forefront during a recent cancer awareness campaign organized by the Queens Drive Club in Mumbai. The event took place on a Sunday and featured Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who participated in a car drive to promote cancer awareness.

Speaking to the media, Amruta Fadnavis highlighted the importance of screening and self-examination for early detection of cancer. She urged individuals to seek medical checks if they notice any symptoms. “We must talk openly about this issue. Early detection can help prevent severe complications later,” she stated. She emphasized that cancer affects not just individuals but also their families and communities, making awareness efforts vital.

Expressing her happiness at being part of such a meaningful initiative, Amruta noted that the event was organized by Ritika Jatin Ahuja in collaboration with the Bastian Beach Club and the Path Foundation. Proceeds from the car drive will benefit cancer patients.

In a separate comment, she advised Congress MP Rahul Gandhi to focus on issues that resonate with the public, criticizing him for often addressing topics that do not concern the populace. “If the government is doing good work, unnecessary criticism is unwarranted. The opposition should raise relevant issues and play a constructive role,” she added.

Addressing a recent statement made by actress Swara Bhasker, Amruta refrained from commenting directly but underscored the importance of self-respect for women, stating that the current context should not be compared with past circumstances when legal systems were not as established.

The founder of the Queens Drive Club shared that the club organizes activities related to supercar driving for women. Women from various cities, including Surat, Kolkata, and Delhi, participated in the campaign. The initiative aims to raise awareness about cancer, particularly breast cancer, and to support patients in need. The club aims to raise substantial funds for chemotherapy patients through this campaign, drawing significant inspiration from Amruta Fadnavis.
