New Delhi, August 5: Congress MP Sukdev Bhagat has criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government and the RSS while discussing various issues. He appealed to the Home Minister to respect the Parliament and address the public on recent significant matters.
In response to accusations that the BJP is obstructing parliamentary proceedings, Bhagat stated, “The country wants to know when Amit Shah will come to the House and provide answers. The Home Minister should honor the House and resolve the questions. Important sessions are ongoing, yet the Home Minister is absent and shirking his responsibilities. While Amit Shah participates in party events, he fails to come to the House to answer the public. Therefore, the BJP should introspect.”
Rahul Gandhi has alleged that the RSS is attempting to rewrite history. In response, Sukdev Bhagat remarked, “I believe the RSS is still plagued by inferiority complex. The entire nation participated in the freedom struggle, with people from all walks of life fighting against British rule in their own ways. However, during the ‘Quit India Movement,’ the RSS stood with the British. When Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated, individuals linked to the RSS were directly involved. They have disrespected our national flag, never hoisted it at their headquarters, and have never sincerely accepted the Constitution.”
Commenting on the statement made by Tamil Nadu‘s opposition leader Udhayanidhi Stalin, Congress MP Sukdev Bhagat said, “Given Udhayanidhi Stalin’s stature, we certainly expect him to exercise restraint in his choice of words. Additionally, he should adhere to moral values, especially avoiding inappropriate comments about women. Such remarks should be avoided as they contradict the principles of political decorum.”
