Amit Shah Targets Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal Rally Ahead of Elections

Medinipur, April 10: In a rally held in Debra, West Medinipur, Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a fierce attack on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. He urged the crowd to vote for the BJP and press the lotus symbol on April 23.

Shah criticized Banerjee for failing to provide jobs for the youth, claiming she has left them unemployed, subjected women to violence, and made life difficult for farmers. He stated that corruption and syndicate operations have plagued the entire state. “Mamata Banerjee has caused unemployment among our youth, used force against sisters, troubled farmers, and is now harassing the entire state with syndicates and extortion,” he said. He called for a Bengal free from infiltrators and syndicates.

He emphasized that the BJP aims to rid Bengal of infiltrators, while Banerjee wants to keep them. “Mamata didi, do your best; we will remove every infiltrator from Bengal,” he declared. Shah accused infiltrators of taking jobs from the youth, consuming food meant for the poor, and engaging in criminal activities. He assured that after the elections, the BJP would work to expel every infiltrator from the state.

Shah also addressed the issue of syndicates that disrupt daily life. “Whether you want to buy cement, sand, or fans, syndicates are everywhere. Press the lotus button once, and we will eliminate these syndicates,” he promised. He warned those causing trouble after May 5 that they would face imprisonment under a BJP government.

He highlighted that corruption, extortion, and opposition to Prime Minister Modi’s government have burdened the people. “Unemployment is troubling the youth, but don’t worry. After May 5, the BJP will provide every unemployed youth with ₹3,000 monthly. Every sister will also receive ₹3,000 in their bank accounts. Farmers will receive ₹9,000 annually,” he stated. He mentioned a comprehensive master plan proposed by Prime Minister Modi to address flooding in Ghatal, which the TMC government rejected. “If you choose the BJP, we will implement the Ghatal master plan within a year and provide a permanent solution to flooding,” he assured.

Shah raised concerns about sediment accumulation in the Rupnarayan River and accused Banerjee of focusing on making her nephew the next Chief Minister instead of addressing pressing issues. He assured that under a BJP government, Bengal’s next Chief Minister would be a party worker born and raised in Bengal. “Once the BJP government is formed, we will introduce UCC, ensuring no one can have four marriages. The law should be equal for all,” he said. He criticized Banerjee for prioritizing madrasa construction over schools for the underprivileged, allocating ₹5,000 crore specifically for madrasas.
