Mumbai, May 30: Excitement is building on social media for Yash Raj Films’ upcoming spy universe film, ‘Alpha’. In this highly anticipated movie, actress Alia Bhatt will take on the role of a spy.
According to close sources from the production team, Alia will portray a powerful and lethal character. They stated, “She will appear as the ‘Alpha Killer’ in the YRF spy universe, specifically trained to eliminate enemies.”
Sources revealed that YRF head Aditya Chopra aims to introduce a completely new and captivating hero to the audience. This character will not be judged solely on right or wrong actions but will be seen as someone living life on their own terms, doing what they believe is right.
“This perspective on heroes and heroines is entirely fresh in today’s context, as audiences seek thrilling and entertaining characters on screen. Alia’s role in ‘Alpha’ will embody this essence,” they added.
Furthermore, they mentioned, “Through this film, Aditya Chopra is set to make a significant creative shift in his spy universe, which has been long overdue for this franchise. For the first time, a film in this universe will be entirely centered around a female lead, showcasing her powerful action and story.”
A YRF spokesperson commented, “For now, we can only say that everyone should look forward to the first teaser or glimpse of ‘Alpha’. We cannot confirm or deny any discussions at this time.”
In this much-anticipated film, Alia Bhatt will be joined by Sharvari Wagh in a leading role, while Bobby Deol will appear as the main antagonist.
