Akshar Yoga Center Earns Prestigious Recognition from AYUSH Ministry as Leading Yoga Institution

Bengaluru, October 6 (Daily Kiran) : Akshar Yoga Center in Bengaluru has achieved a significant milestone in yoga education. The AYUSH Ministry of the Indian government has officially recognized the center as a “Leading Yoga Institution” through its Yoga Certification Board (YCB).

This recognition represents the highest category of institutional accreditation under the YCB framework. It is awarded to distinguished yoga institutions that are acknowledged for their heritage, scope, infrastructure, academic systems, and ongoing contributions to yoga education. With this accolade, Akshar Yoga Center now ranks among the premier yoga institutions in the country.

According to the institution, this recognition honors over two decades of dedication. The milestone reflects the work done under the guidance of its founder, Himalayan Siddh Akshar, who has focused on preserving traditional yoga knowledge while providing a systematic and scientific approach to learning yoga for students and professionals alike.

Over the years, Akshar Yoga Center has developed numerous programs related to asanas, pranayama, meditation, mudras, yoga philosophy, alignment, teaching methods, wellness, and advanced yoga practice. The center claims that its initiatives have reached over 20 million students and practitioners across more than 80 countries, training over 50,000 yoga teachers through its educational ecosystem.

Additionally, Akshar Yoga Center has set 42 Guinness World Records, showcasing the extensive scale of its training and outreach initiatives. Participants in its programs include students, athletes, teachers, corporate professionals, police and defense personnel, senior citizens, individuals with disabilities, and international yoga practitioners.

Commenting on this recognition, Himalayan Siddh Akshar stated, “This acknowledgment is a significant milestone in our journey, but more importantly, it reinforces our responsibility to uphold the authenticity and discipline of yoga. For over two decades, we have strived to create an ecosystem where traditional yoga knowledge is supported by structured education and rigorous teacher training.”

As a leading yoga institution, Akshar Yoga Center is now authorized to conduct training in various categories according to YCB guidelines, including yoga volunteers, yoga protocol instructors, yoga wellness instructors, yoga teachers and assessors, yoga masters, therapeutic yoga consultants, asana coaches, and school-level yoga teacher programs.

The institution is also authorized to evaluate eligible candidates under the YCB framework and conduct professional development initiatives such as continuing yoga education programs, workshops, seminars, and conferences. With a growing international presence focused on markets like Japan and Australia, Akshar Yoga Center aims to bring India’s ancient knowledge system to a broader global community.
