New Delhi, March 27: Akhilesh Yadav, the leader of the Samajwadi Party (SP), has alleged numerous fake encounters in Uttar Pradesh. He stated that when officials claim there is no mafia in the state, it indicates that there is only one mafia present. He has also issued a warning to police officials regarding these encounters.
Responding to allegations made by BJP MLC Devendra Pratap Singh against the Uttar Pradesh police, Yadav remarked, “This (encounter) is not new in Uttar Pradesh. When they say there is no mafia, you should understand that there is indeed one mafia. Fake encounters have occurred multiple times. A fair investigation will reveal that there have been countless fake encounters under the Uttar Pradesh government.”
It is noteworthy that Devendra Pratap Singh has written to the Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court, accusing the police of irregularities in Sultanpur.
He added, “Many individuals have filed complaints with the Human Rights Commission, or notices have been sent to the government from the Commission. People have also approached the courts seeking justice.” He warned, “When it comes to justice, many officials will find themselves isolated. They could end up in jail, and their families may not be able to help them.”
On the issue of LPG, Akhilesh Yadav pointed out, “In Uttar Pradesh, there are countless lines for gas cylinders, yet the government claims that cylinders are available. If they are available, why was there a need to reduce the cylinder size from 14 kg to 10 kg? They previously stole fertilizer bags and are now doing the same with cylinders. Soon, they will say to make smaller rotis. The question is, what is the government doing?”
Meanwhile, in response to remarks made by Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Yadav stated, “This is a new era. There is a great need for ‘delivery boys.’ They should become ‘delivery CM’ instead of remaining Deputy Chief Ministers, delivering cylinders or other assistance where needed.”
Earlier, Keshav Prasad Maurya had stated, “If Akhilesh Yadav does not have cylinders, he can send us a message. We will deliver the cylinders.”
