New Delhi, August 4: Akhilesh Yadav, the national president of the Samajwadi Party, has raised concerns regarding the promotion of E-20 fuel by automobile companies. He stated that if these companies fail to advocate for the benefits of E-20 fuel, it suggests a collusion with the central government aimed at profiting from increased spare parts sales.
In a media interaction, Yadav claimed that not only the government but also other entities are reaping profits from this situation. He suggested that automobile companies might be involved in behind-the-scenes dealings, similar to the recent controversies surrounding donations to the Ram Temple. “While the surface appears secure, there may be hidden tunnels beneath,” he remarked.
Commenting on the results of the Bankipur and Datia by-elections, Yadav noted that there is little left for BJP workers, describing the outcome as a ‘return gift’ for the party after 12 years. He asserted that had the BJP conducted the elections as they did in Kundarki, Rampur, or Uttar Pradesh, utilizing police presence and their usual tactics, they might not have faced defeat. This election reflects the public’s anger against the BJP, especially since they claimed there was no fraud or misuse of administration. This is not an ordinary loss; it highlights how many votes the BJP would receive in fair elections, which they need to understand.
Regarding the Datia by-election results, he expressed satisfaction that Samajwadi Party workers and the people of Datia stood with the India Alliance.
On the other hand, Samajwadi Party MP Dimple Yadav emphasized that the functioning of Parliament is hindered not by the opposition but by the government. She stated that the opposition seeks answers regarding police actions against students and alleged misconduct towards women. “If we do not demand answers in Parliament, who will?” she questioned, noting that the government is reluctant to respond.
Samajwadi Party MP Pushpendra Saroj highlighted three demands in the House. He called for a discussion on the alleged embezzlement of donations for the Ram Temple, asserting that all BJP members are involved. He urged the government to present data on the theft and recovery.
He also insisted that Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah should address the attack on students by Delhi police on July 20. “If they do not attend, the House will not function,” he stated.
Saroj criticized the government’s handling of the NEET issue, claiming that some MPs were given a chance to speak, but the bill was rushed through.
In response to comments made by UP Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya regarding madrasas, SP MP Ikra Hasan argued that statements should be backed by facts. “If they have evidence, they should present it. Madrasas, mosques, and festivals are part of our culture. Investigate if there are issues, but they are merely making dialogue,” she asserted.
When the House proceedings were disrupted, Hasan pointed out that public funds are being wasted. She criticized PM Modi for being in Delhi but not attending the House. “A video message is not enough; he should respond within the House. Our Parliament is the temple of democracy, which PM Modi continues to ignore. What is the government afraid of?”
Congress MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla remarked that despite the passage of time, the Home Minister has yet to provide answers. He called for accountability regarding police actions against students, emphasizing that the government must address these questions in Parliament.
