Lucknow, August 4: In a recent session of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, lawmakers from the Samajwadi Party (SP) created significant disruption. The proceedings were interrupted multiple times. During a speech by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, SP MLA Sachin Yadav displayed a placard targeting the CM, leading to his suspension by the Speaker. This incident has sparked various reactions from political leaders.
Minister Dayashankar Singh of the Uttar Pradesh government stated that the opposition has no substantial issues to discuss. He criticized them for avoiding discussions on public concerns, stating, “They had an opportunity to address the people’s issues but chose not to. This clearly shows they lack any real agenda and are deliberately causing disruptions.”
In further remarks, Singh accused the Congress party of denying the existence of Lord Ram, asserting that they wish to erase the significance of the Ram Setu, which symbolizes Lord Ram’s victory over Sri Lanka. He expressed that the Congress does not want India to maintain its dignity and pride. Singh also highlighted that the Samajwadi Party did not support the Ram Temple and even resorted to violence against Ram devotees, staining the Saryu River with blood.
Minister Kapil Dev Agarwal commented on the irresponsible behavior of the opposition in the Assembly. He noted, “The Assembly is meant for discussion. Instead of engaging in dialogue, they seem to evade questions and resort to accusations against the government.” He emphasized that the public funds the Assembly, and the opposition is disrespecting this institution.
BJP MLA Rakesh Chaudhary remarked on the SP’s history of misconduct and corruption. He stated that the Assembly should be a platform for debate, not for unruly behavior. He expressed concern that the SP members acted as if they were ready to attack when the Chief Minister stood to speak. “These individuals will not be elected again,” he concluded.
