Jaipur, October 26 (Daily Kiran) — In a major breakthrough in the Ajayraj Singh Zala murder case, the Chittorgarh Police have arrested two prime conspirators, including history-sheeter Ishwar Singh alias Hariom Singh, carrying a reward of ₹5,000. With these arrests, the total number of accused held in the case has now reached 19.
Superintendent of Police Manish Tripathi said the arrests were made as part of the ongoing investigation into the June 1 gang war and murder that took place on the Udaipur–Kota four-lane highway near Semalpura.
Brutal Shooting on Hotel Rooftop
According to police reports, on the night of June 1, Ajayraj Singh Zala, a resident of Mod Ji ka Minnana, was dining with his friends on the terrace of a hotel near Semalpura crossroads when the assailants attacked.
During the incident, Manoj Chaudhary allegedly tracked Ajayraj’s location and informed main accused Ishwar Singh alias Hariom Singh, a resident of Det village. Acting on this information, Ishwar Singh arrived at the spot with around 15 accomplices in three vehicles and opened indiscriminate fire on Ajayraj and his friends.
Ajayraj Singh died on the spot due to multiple gunshot wounds. After the murder, the attackers vandalized two vehicles belonging to the victim — a Duster and a Bolero — and set them on fire using petrol.
Police Crackdown on Gang Network
Given the seriousness of the crime, SP Tripathi formed multiple teams to track down the accused. Under the direction of Additional SP Sarita Singh, and supervision of CO Vinay Chaudhary, a team led by SHO Tulsiram launched a detailed investigation.
The police first traced Ishwar Singh alias Hariom Singh, a history-sheeter from Gangrar police station, and arrested him near Akme Paradise Second Residency, located on Manvakhhera Road, Hiran Magri, Udaipur.
Based on information obtained during interrogation, a separate team led by DySP Vinay Chaudhary apprehended Rajpal Singh, son of Dalpat Singh, from his residence in Bhairu Singh Ji ka Chaukia village.
Both Accused on Police Reward List
The Chittorgarh SP Office had earlier announced a reward of ₹5,000 each for the arrest of the two fugitives. Following their arrest, police are now working to recover the weapons and vehicles used in the murder.
The investigation continues, with police focusing on dismantling the gang network involved in the Ajayraj Singh killing, which appears to be the result of a long-standing rivalry between local criminal groups.
