Mumbai, June 25: The first look video of Ajay Devgn’s highly anticipated film ‘Chauhan’ has taken the internet by storm. In this film, the actor is set to showcase his powerful and intense persona once again.
The video opens with visuals from Kashmir, accompanied by a heavy background narration stating, “There were 300 boys at the crossroads, only 270 made it home… 30 are missing.” This line sets the tone for the entire video, immersing viewers in a serious atmosphere. Shortly after, Ajay Devgn’s voice resonates, declaring, “It wasn’t our mistake; the orders came from above. A brick for a stone, but if the other side only picks up a stone, then what’s the response?” This dialogue is complemented by rapid shots of a crowd of youth, arson, military deployment, and stone-pelting amidst chaos.
As the video progresses, it shows security forces using tear gas to control the situation, but the masked rioters remain largely unaffected. Following this, pellet guns are deployed, yet the situation remains unmanageable. Water cannons are also used, but they fail to provide a solution, illustrating a scenario spiraling out of control.
An important scene unfolds where a stone-pelter calls his companions for stone-throwing every Friday using a loudspeaker. It is during this moment that Ajay Devgn makes his entrance, appearing in a completely different and powerful avatar. He walks in with a portable music system, playing the famous song “Jumma Chumma De De” from Amitabh Bachchan’s film ‘Hum.’
The video then showcases Ajay Devgn striding in military attire with swagger. He pulls out a revolver from his pocket, removes his jacket, and casually checks his watch. Although his face is partially obscured by a mask, the intensity in his eyes and expressions makes his character impactful. The video concludes with a powerful dialogue from Ajay Devgn, stating, “Tell the Pathans, Chauhan is coming.”
In ‘Chauhan,’ Ajay Devgn collaborates with Jio Studios and Aanand L. Rai for the first time. The film is directed by Neeraj Yadav.
