AIMIM Leader Criticizes High Court Ruling on Bhojshala

Mumbai, May 15: AIMIM leader Waris Pathan expressed his disagreement with the Madhya Pradesh High Court’s ruling regarding Bhojshala. He described the decision as incorrect and disappointing.

Pathan emphasized that several aspects were determined without proper consideration. He noted that the ruling overlooked the Waqf Act and did not acknowledge the Places of Worship Act. He pointed out that prayers were being conducted at the site, similar to the situation surrounding the Ram Temple case, which was decided based on faith. He expressed hope for a favorable outcome from the Supreme Court.

Abdul Samad from the Kamal Maulana Welfare Society stated that the Muslim community will continue to hold Friday prayers at Bhojshala every week. He also mentioned plans to take the matter to the Supreme Court, asserting that their concerns were not addressed in the current ruling. He highlighted that they have been praying at the mosque since its establishment, exercising their constitutional rights.

Samad remarked that while the administration could enforce the order, it failed to implement the 2003 directive, which allowed Hindu visitors at Bhojshala from sunrise to sunset on Tuesdays. He criticized the ongoing unauthorized religious practices at the site despite the absence of any formal worship directives.

Qazi Syed Nisar Ali commented that the High Court’s decision favored one side. He expressed confidence in the Indian judiciary, stating that justice would prevail. He reminded that the Supreme Court remains an option for those who believe the ruling is in their favor, emphasizing that this is not the final decision.
