AIMIM Leader Akhtarul Iman Expresses Condolences Over Khameneis Death, Urges Indian Government for Clarity

New Delhi, March 2: AIMIM leader Akhtarul Iman expressed his condolences following the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who reportedly died due to attacks from Israel and the United States. Iman stated that the nation should also express its grief during this time.

In a conversation in New Delhi, Iman emphasized that Iran has stood by India during challenging times. He recalled that when Pakistan was creating tensions regarding Kashmir, it was Iran that prevented Pakistan’s intentions from strengthening. He insisted that the friendship with Iran should be maintained.

Following Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Israel, Iman criticized the ongoing attacks on Iran, noting the lack of a statement from Modi. He believes the Prime Minister should address the situation, making it clear whether India stands with Iran. He pointed out that India has historically sympathized with Palestine since the Nehru era and lamented that this relationship appears to be deteriorating. Iman reiterated that India has always opposed violence and remarked that the violence occurring in Palestine is alarming.

He condemned the actions of the United States and Israel, labeling them as the world’s largest fascists and terrorists. He referenced the recent abduction of Venezuela’s president, questioning the future of sovereignty and democracy worldwide. Iman highlighted the ongoing suffering and diseases affecting people, attributing some of these issues to pollution and the aggressive actions of the U.S.

Regarding the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections for five seats, Iman mentioned that he has reached out to leaders of the Mahagathbandhan and recently met with opposition leaders. He conveyed that they are fighting for secularism and representing Dalits, backward classes, and minorities, who form a significant support base. He urged that they deserve a chance in the upper house.
