Patna, September 2: A fantastic opportunity has emerged for young individuals aspiring to work at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). AIIMS Patna has officially announced vacancies for a total of 68 Senior Resident (Ad-hoc) positions across various departments. The breakdown includes 16 for the General category, 12 for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 14 for Other Backward Classes (OBC), 17 for Scheduled Castes (SC), and 9 for Scheduled Tribes (ST).
The departments with available Senior Resident positions include Anatomy (3), Anesthesiology – Pain Medicine and Critical Care (13), Community and Family Medicine (C&FM) (2), Dermatology (3), Forensic Medicine and Toxicology (FMT) (3), Orthopedics (7), Ophthalmology (3), Obstetrics and Gynecology (3), Pathology (3), Pediatrics (4), Pharmacology (2), Radiation Oncology (4), Radio Diagnosis (2), Transfusion Medicine and Blood Bank (2), General Medicine (7), and General Surgery (7).
Candidates will be selected based on walk-in interviews and document verification. The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary of ₹67,700, along with additional benefits and allowances.
Candidates attending the interview must possess an MD/DNB in the relevant department from a recognized institution or university. Additionally, registration with the National Medical Commission or State Medical Council is mandatory.
The maximum age limit for applicants is set at 45 years, calculated as of August 31, 2026. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.
Walk-in interviews are scheduled for September 5, 12, 19, and 26 at the ‘Committee Room, Administrative Building, AIIMS Patna’ from 10 AM to 1 PM. Applicants are advised to arrive on time and bring both original and photocopies of all relevant documents.
