Ahan Shetty Reflects on Legacy in Border-2 Success

Mumbai, February 8: The multi-starrer film ‘Border-2’ has crossed the impressive milestone of 300 crores in India. The movie showcases the story of four brave soldiers, featuring Ahan Shetty in a pivotal role.

Ahan portrays a naval officer, and shooting for the film proved to be a significant challenge for him, especially since his father, Suniel Shetty, was part of the original ‘Border’ film. In a recent conversation, Ahan expressed his feelings about not being able to shoot alongside his father and the pressure of carrying on his legacy.

Reflecting on the release of ‘Border-2’, Ahan shared his regret about missing the chance to film a particular scene with his father. He stated, “The last scene in the movie, unfortunately, we couldn’t shoot together. I wanted to act alongside him, but he was part of the original ‘Border’ while I am in ‘Border-2’. I knew comparisons would be made, and I wanted to perform that special scene he did in the first film.”

He added, “Initially, I was anxious about whether I could measure up, and I was aware of the inevitable comparisons. However, I realized that I needed to honor my father’s legacy without letting fear overwhelm me. I strive to ensure that these thoughts do not dominate my mind or create pressure, as that would affect my performance and the character I portray. I focused on playing the role with sincerity and dedication.”

Ahan further expressed his gratitude for the positive response the film has received, stating, “The audience’s reaction clearly shows that they appreciated my work, which brings me joy.”

Since the trailer’s release, comparisons between Ahan and Suniel Shetty have been rampant, but Ahan has proven, with his father’s support, that he possesses immense talent of his own.
