Mumbai, September 16 (Daily Kiran) : Aditya Thackeray, a leader of the Shiv Sena (UBT), has firmly stated that he has never met Disha Salian and has no association with her. In a recent post on the social media platform X, Thackeray accused certain individuals of attempting to tarnish his image out of political malice.
He emphasized that he is reiterating the facts to dispel the rumors surrounding him. “I have never met Disha Salian, nor do I have any acquaintance with her,” he wrote. Thackeray expressed concern that, driven by personal vendettas, some people have persistently tried to link him to this unfortunate incident over the past six years, despite there being no evidence or connection.
Thackeray condemned what he described as a baseless campaign of lies, stating that the false discussions on television and media trials cannot alter the truth. He called for official agencies to conduct a fresh investigation without political interference or character assassination.
He added, “Those who believe they can silence us through character defamation and false propaganda are mistaken. Our fight for truth and justice will continue, alongside the citizens of this country.”
This statement comes after Disha Salian’s father, Satish Salian, claimed to possess concrete evidence against Thackeray, Suraj Pancholi, Dino Morea, Sachin Vaze, Param Bir Singh, and Rhea Chakraborty. Nilesh Ojha, the family’s lawyer, alleged that Disha was murdered after being gang-raped due to her possession of evidence related to drug trafficking and child trafficking involving Thackeray’s associates.
Ojha stated that the FIR filed by the CBI was based on Satish Salian’s claims, which he argued establish that heinous crimes were committed against Disha. He asserted that Disha had detailed evidence of illegal activities connected to Thackeray and his associates.
