Aditya Menon Excited to Voice Skeletor in He-Man Across Three South Indian Languages

Chennai, June 2: Aditya Menon, the artist lending his voice to the iconic villain Skeletor in the Hollywood film ‘He-Man and the Masters of the Universe,’ describes this experience as one of the most memorable and enjoyable of his career.

The film is set to release in India on June 5 in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.

Menon has voiced Skeletor in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam versions. He shared that for audiences who have watched the ‘He-Man’ franchise since childhood, Skeletor remains one of the most memorable and dangerous villains. Charismatic, powerful, unpredictable, and filled with theatrical energy, this character has been a pan-Indian villain for generations. Voicing Skeletor in three different languages has been a nostalgic experience for him.

Menon highlighted the unique aspects of Skeletor’s personality, which is filled with diversity. He is both dangerous and powerful, yet carefree and dramatic. As an artist, he had ample opportunities to experiment with the character’s various shades, improvise, and try new things. The dubbing process became even more interesting and creative due to the distinct rhythm and flavor of each language.

He praised actor Jared Leto for his outstanding performance in the English version. Menon aimed to tailor Skeletor to resonate with audiences in each language, ensuring that South Indian viewers feel a deep connection to the character. He expressed hope that fans will enjoy watching the film as much as he enjoyed the dubbing process.

The film also features Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam, a.k.a. He-Man, and Camila Mendes as Teela. Idris Elba, Alison Brie, Morena Baccarin, and Kristen Wiig play significant roles as well. Directed by Travis Knight, this film aims to introduce the fantasy world of pop culture to a new generation.

Sony Pictures is preparing to release the film in collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios.
