New Delhi, March 7: A national conference for women intellectuals titled ‘Bharati-Nari Se Narayani’ is currently underway in Delhi. This two-day event, taking place from March 7 to 8 at Vigyan Bhawan, focuses on the role of women in nation-building, empowerment, and leadership.
After the program, Professor Geeta Bhatt shared her insights in an exclusive interview. She stated, “The Indian Council of Scholars and other institutions should welcome this initiative. Women across the country who hold decision-making responsibilities in any field should also support it. Women constitute half of India’s population, so a clear roadmap for their empowerment in the 21st century is essential.”
She welcomed the event, noting that it aims to bring together decision-making women from across the country to view women as a source of strength.
Geeta Bhatt emphasized, “Strength means capability, energy, and the ability to act. In today’s era of technology and social challenges, women must be empowered to tackle these issues. Indian culture has always held women in high regard, and their participation in decision-making processes has been crucial. It is time for them to advance even more empowered in the 21st century. This two-day conference will generate many positive ideas and solutions that will aid in women’s empowerment and nation-building.”
The main objective of this program is to view women as empowered individuals with inner strength, energy, and capability, and to elevate them into decision-making roles. This initiative could be a significant step towards women’s empowerment.
