Now, after 16 years, major updates have emerged regarding the sequel to this superhit movie. Reports say the script for ‘3 Idiots 2’ is complete, and the makers are fully prepared to move forward with the project.
According to sources, the powerful trio of Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi, and R. Madhavan will reprise their roles as Rancho, Raju, and Farhan. Kareena Kapoor will also return as Pia. The team believes the script carries the same fun, emotions, and beautiful message that defined the first film. The shooting is planned to begin in the second half of 2026, and the makers are very excited about this journey.
The story will continue from where the first film ended, approximately 15 years later, as the three friends reunite for a new adventure. This time, the narrative will feature glimpses of their childhood, fresh comedy, and a blend of old memories. Notably, Vidhu Vinod Chopra is joining Rajkumar Hirani as a co-director for the sequel.
