Youth Mobilization Set for October 10 as Saurav Das Calls for Action Against Electoral Fraud

New Delhi, October 5 (Daily Kiran) : Saurav Das, the chief spokesperson of the Cockroach People’s Party (CJP), has declared that on October 10, the nation will witness a monumental gathering of youth, the likes of which has not been seen in centuries. He emphasized that young people are uniting for a common cause: the right to vote. Das criticized the ongoing exclusion of youth from voter lists, a process that has stalled since 2024. He stated that on that day, all of Delhi will essentially transform into Jantar Mantar, the site of significant protests.

In an interview, Das pointed out that recent elections in several states have been marred by fraud. He alleged that manipulation of vote totals has led to unfair outcomes. “Voting is our right in a democracy, a means to change our circumstances. If we are stripped of this right, what remains of democracy, and how can the system be altered?” he questioned.

He lamented that even after decades of independence, discussions still revolve around improving basic necessities like education, air, and water, while countries like China and the United States have advanced significantly. “If we are still addressing these issues, it indicates a hollow system that must be changed through voting. Without the right to vote, where will the youth go?” he asked.

Das highlighted the alarming statistic that 90 million young people are currently unemployed. “Where will these young individuals go? We need to create one million jobs annually, but this government has failed to do so over the past 12 years. The youth are taking to the streets, and on October 10, a massive demonstration is planned. We will not leave until Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar resigns. The police are currently restricting access to Jantar Mantar, which has become a beacon of hope for protesters. If we are prevented from reaching Jantar Mantar, we will sit down right there, making it our protest ground. The police should not obstruct the youth who wish to voice their concerns.”

Das accused the Modi government of being fearful and confused in handling youth issues. He claimed that the administration has failed to address their problems and is resorting to arresting CJP leaders, which he believes will not yield positive results. “The youth are awake now,” he asserted.

He warned the government against playing games with the youth and mentioned that permission for the protest has been sought from the police. “We will cooperate with the Delhi police, and they should reciprocate. If not, the situation could escalate.”
