BJP Unveils Major Strategy for Uttar Pradesh Elections with Mass Marches

Ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh elections, BJP plans mass marches and grassroots campaigns to strengthen voter outreach.

Lucknow, October 30 (Daily Kiran) : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is ramping up its preparations for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. The party aims to mobilize its organization and enhance voter engagement through extensive campaigns scheduled for November and December. These initiatives will see mass marches involving 25,000 or more party workers in each of the state’s six organizational regions.

As part of this strategy, the BJP plans to form teams of 25 active workers in each of the 1,918 blocks, assigning five workers to each polling booth. During a recent meeting of the BJP’s state working committee in Lucknow, Dharmapal Singh, the state general secretary (organization), outlined a detailed plan for the upcoming elections. He emphasized the need for the party to become active now to ensure electoral success.

The party will launch large marches under the campaign slogan “Save Democracy, Eliminate Anarchy.” Each march is expected to gather around 25,000 participants. The first march will take place on November 3 in the Awadh region, featuring Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Simultaneously, a march in the Braj region will occur in Bareilly, attended by former BJP national president and current Union Minister J.P. Nadda.

On November 4, the Gorakhpur region will host a march with the party’s national president Nitin Nabin and state president Pankaj Chaudhary. That same day, marches will also take place in Prayagraj and Kanpur, featuring Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, respectively. The Western region’s march in Ghaziabad on November 5 will see participation from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Singh noted that out of approximately 60 members in each block’s executive committee, 25 active workers will be selected to regularly visit polling booths and drive organizational activities. A comprehensive list with names and contact details will be compiled for these workers. Additionally, five active workers will be designated for each booth.

To enhance voter outreach, the BJP will implement a beneficiary contact campaign, aiming to connect with individuals benefiting from government schemes. Lists of beneficiaries will be prepared through booth presidents, and workers will be instructed to visit these individuals at home, engage in discussions over tea, and hold meetings at the block and center levels. Engagement with temples, social leaders, and organizational affiliates will also be prioritized.

To attract young and female voters, small meetings will be held at the booth level. The women’s wing will facilitate discussions about government schemes and local issues. The party plans to organize youth conferences in 200 locations across the state to connect with voters aged 18 to 21. Additionally, new voter conferences will be conducted in all blocks.

The BJP will also initiate farmer outreach programs and community meals with members of cooperatives. Efforts will be made to engage small and micro entrepreneurs through regular dialogues and meetings. The party intends to involve former officials and representatives from previous terms in discussions about electoral strategies.

Singh highlighted the importance of defining the roles of mayors, district council presidents, and various representatives, including MPs and MLAs, in the election preparations. Regional meetings will be conducted with council members and other representatives.

A detailed program is being developed for visits and events involving Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, along with other key leaders. Responsibilities for meetings during these visits will also be established.

Singh stressed that for the upcoming elections, it is vital to activate the organization at the booth level and establish direct connections with the maximum number of voters. Responsibilities will be assigned based on the capabilities of all workers and officials, ensuring that the planned initiatives for November and December are executed efficiently.
