Yoga Practice in Bhopal Ahead of International Yoga Day

Bhopal, June 20: The excitement for International Yoga Day, celebrated on June 21, is palpable. In Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, a large number of people participated in yoga practice a day earlier, on Saturday. Sessions were held at the TT Nagar Stadium and the Boat Club. Various events are planned across the state to mark this occasion.

At the yoga event in TT Nagar Stadium, Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth and Madhya Pradesh’s Minister of Cooperation, Sports, and Youth Welfare Vishwas Sarang actively participated in the yoga session. Both leaders emphasized the importance of yoga as a foundation for a healthy, balanced, and positive life. They urged citizens, especially the youth, to adopt yoga regularly.

Minister Sarang also attended a yoga practice session at the Boat Club, located by the Big Lake. This event, set in a natural environment, saw thousands of youths, athletes, sports enthusiasts, and citizens come together to commit to a healthy lifestyle through collective yoga practice.

Sarang stated that due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts, yoga has gained global recognition, with 192 countries participating in collective yoga on this day. He noted that yoga is not just exercise; it is a means to achieve a healthy body, a peaceful mind, and a strong life.

The enthusiastic participation of Bhopal’s youth sends a clear message: the new generation is aware of fitness, health, and yoga, and is committed to playing an active role in building a developed India. The events held on the eve of International Yoga Day have filled the city with a vibrant yoga atmosphere.
