
Dubai, June 20: Preparations for International Yoga Day are in full swing across the globe. Indian High Commissioners and embassies in various countries are organizing yoga sessions to promote health and wellness.
In Dubai, a special yoga session themed “Empowered Women, Healthy Lives, Strong Communities” was held, while Denmark also hosted a unique yoga event attended by diplomats and senior officials. In Germany, the iconic Brandenburg Gate is set to host a grand celebration.
This year’s theme is “Yoga for Healthy Aging.” In Dubai, Consul Ankita Wakekar from the Indian Consulate participated in a special session at the Emirates Golf Club, designed for women and girls.
She shared on social media platform X that the session highlighted the power of yoga at every stage of life, promoting balance, strength, and overall health.
In Berlin, the Indian Embassy made a significant appeal to practitioners. The special event will take place at the renowned Brandenburg Gate. The embassy posted on its official X account, stating that only one day remains until International Yoga Day 2026 (IYD)!
They added, “Join us on June 21, 2026, for a special yoga program at Berlin’s iconic Brandenburg Gate. Experience the spirit of yoga in a morning filled with yoga, meditation, culture, and community engagement as we celebrate together at the heart of Berlin.”
Denmark is also gearing up for yoga. The Indian Embassy in Copenhagen organized a yoga session at the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where Danish diplomats and ministry members participated enthusiastically.
The embassy highlighted in a social media post that the event aimed to promote health, mindfulness, and the spirit of yoga.
