
Chandigarh, June 16: Haryana Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan and Haryana government minister Shyam Singh Rana shared their insights on the significance of yoga. Both leaders emphasized yoga as an invaluable heritage of India’s ancient culture, serving as the foundation for a healthy and stress-free life.
In an interview with a news agency, Speaker Harvinder Kalyan stated that International Yoga Day is a matter of pride for India. Today, yoga is not confined to India; it is embraced and celebrated worldwide. Under Prime Minister Modi‘s leadership, India’s ancient culture has gained new recognition and strength, with yoga being a vital symbol of that cultural heritage.
He remarked that International Yoga Day is a priceless gift from India to the world. Yoga promotes physical health and mental peace. He noted that efforts to bring yoga to every village are now showing positive results.
Kalyan pointed out that in today’s world, every responsible individual faces work pressure and various types of stress. In such times, practicing yoga is essential for maintaining tranquility. He encouraged everyone to incorporate yoga into their daily routines and lifestyles. He provided an example, stating that even a brief five-minute break for yoga or meditation amidst a busy schedule can rejuvenate a person, allowing them to return to work with renewed energy and freshness.
Meanwhile, Haryana Minister Shyam Singh Rana described yoga as a means to discipline the body, mind, intellect, and soul. He stated that it connects all aspects of human life. When a person connects with their inner self, they also connect with the divine, leading to true joy.
