Yellow Alert Issued for NCR: Rain and Humidity Expected on June 15

Noida, June 15: Residents of the Delhi-NCR region are bracing for another shift in weather conditions. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for June 15. According to the forecast, strong winds, light rain, and thunderstorms are expected throughout the day.

Despite the anticipated rain, relief from the heat may not be fully realized. Rising humidity levels are likely to exacerbate discomfort. The IMD’s seven-day forecast indicates a maximum temperature of 39 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 26 degrees Celsius for June 15. Humidity levels could reach up to 65% at their peak and drop to 45% at their lowest.

The weather department predicts strong surface winds of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour in the afternoon and evening, along with light to very light rain and possible lightning. This is the reason behind the yellow alert for June 15. Experts advise avoiding open spaces and standing under trees during this time.

On June 16, there are signs of some relief, although not complete. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 40 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of 26 degrees Celsius. The sky will be partially cloudy, and there may be isolated thunderstorms, but no warnings have been issued for that day.

Looking ahead, temperatures are projected to rise, with June 17 seeing a maximum of 41 degrees and a minimum of 28 degrees, June 18 at 41 degrees and 29 degrees, and June 19 reaching 42 degrees and 29 degrees. By June 20, the maximum temperature could soar to 43 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of 31 degrees Celsius. Throughout these days, the weather department anticipates partial cloud cover, with no warnings currently in effect.

Weather experts indicate that while rain and strong winds may occur, a significant drop in temperature is unlikely. Instead, increasing humidity could lead to more discomfort for residents. Those venturing outside during the day are advised to stay hydrated, wear light clothing, and keep an eye on weather updates from the department.
