
Hugli, April 22: Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a massive public meeting in the Satggram assembly on Wednesday, ahead of the West Bengal assembly elections. He stated that every village, town, and corner of Bengal is echoing the sentiment that the BJP is on its way. A significant number of women attended the rally, expressing their desire for a BJP government this time.
During his speech, Shah announced that vote counting would commence at 8 AM on May 4, and by 1 PM, it would be clear that it would be “goodbye” to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
Some attendees shared their frustrations with the current government, expressing a strong preference for a BJP-led administration under Prime Minister Modi. BJP leader Tanushree Singh remarked that the large turnout at Shah’s rally is evidence of the public’s unwavering faith in the BJP. She believes that the party is poised to flourish in West Bengal.
One woman emphasized the need for change in Bengal, citing the necessity for development that she believes can only be achieved under a BJP government. Another attendee echoed this sentiment, stating that they came to hear Amit Shah and that the atmosphere is favorable for the BJP.
Madhuvi Biswas articulated the collective resolve for change, stating that they gathered to listen to and welcome Amit Shah. She expressed confidence that the BJP would form the government this time, pledging that they would vote unitedly for change.
On the other hand, Shah engaged with rally attendees, who assured him that change is imminent. He also promised that under a BJP government, women would receive financial assistance of 3,000 rupees in their bank accounts.
