Mumbai, November 2 (Daily Kiran) : Actor Sanjay Kapoor and his wife Maheep Kapoor’s daughter, Shanaya Kapoor, celebrated her birthday on November 2 in Mumbai. Her best friend, actress Ananya Panday, took to social media to share her warm wishes.
Ananya posted a mirror selfie on her Instagram Stories, sporting a black T-shirt featuring a childhood picture of Shanaya. She paired the casual look with beige bottoms and a bright pink handbag.
In another story, Ananya gave fans a glimpse of Shanaya’s birthday celebration. The birthday girl was seen leaning over a cake adorned with a single candle while wearing a stylish black off-shoulder outfit. Ananya expressed her affection with the caption, “Love of my life, happy birthday my Shanaya papaya.”
Alongside her photo, Ananya playfully wrote, “Guess without saying that it’s your best friend’s birthday.”
The friendship between Ananya and Shanaya dates back to their childhood, with their mothers, Bhavana Panday and Maheep Kapoor, also sharing a long-standing bond.
Sanjay Kapoor joined in the birthday festivities by posting a video on Instagram that compiled precious moments from Shanaya’s life. He wrote, “Happy birthday, Shanaya Kapoor.”
Shanaya made her mark in the film industry as an assistant director for the 2020 movie “Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl.” She later appeared in the popular Netflix reality show “Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives.” Her first film, “Bedhadak,” was announced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions but has since been delayed in pre-production.
Shanaya officially debuted as an actress in the 2025 film “Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyan,” starring alongside Vikrant Massey. Her second film, “Tu Ya Main,” was released in February 2026, featuring her alongside Aadarsh Gourav.
