Tamil director Abishan Jeevinth announces the birth of his daughter, just days after celebrating his first wedding anniversary.
Mumbai, November 2 (Daily Kiran) : Abishan Jeevinth, the young director who gained fame from the hit Tamil film “Tourist Family,” has become a father. He shared the joyous news on social media, where fans have been quick to extend their congratulations.
In an Instagram story, Abishan posted a touching black-and-white photo of himself cradling his newborn daughter. He captioned it, “I am officially a father to a daughter.”
Interestingly, this happy moment comes just two days after he and his wife, Akhila Ilangovan, celebrated their first wedding anniversary. The couple, who have known each other since childhood, had been dating for several years before tying the knot.
Abishan proposed to Akhila during a promotional event for “Tourist Family” in 2025, a moment that went viral on social media. They married on October 31, 2025, in a lavish ceremony at the Hanu Reddy Boathouse Garden in Chennai, attended by several prominent figures from the Tamil film industry, including Sivakarthikeyan and Soundarya Rajinikanth.
Having made his directorial debut with the successful “Tourist Family,” Abishan has also stepped into acting with the film “With Love,” released in 2026. He is set to appear alongside Kannada superstar Shivrajkumar in the upcoming Tamil film “Picasso,” directed by Gautam Shivraman. This film will be released in Tamil, Kannada, and Telugu.
