
Muzaffarpur, July 2: A shocking incident has emerged from Muzaffarpur district in Bihar, where a woman was brutally attacked for resisting a theft. The incident occurred early Thursday morning in a village under the Gaya Ghat police station area. A thief broke into the woman’s home and, upon her resistance, attacked her with a sickle, a type of agricultural tool, targeting her private parts.
The woman sustained severe injuries and is currently receiving treatment at Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital (SKMCH). Her condition remains critical. According to police reports, the incident took place around 3 AM. Initial investigations revealed that the intruder had entered the house with the intent to steal. The woman woke up upon hearing noises and confronted the assailant, which led to the violent attack.
Family members rushed her to a local health center before transferring her to SKMCH for advanced care. Medical professionals performed an immediate operation to remove the sickle lodged in her body. Doctors are closely monitoring her condition as she continues to receive treatment.
Upon receiving news of the attack, police arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation. Evidence is being collected from the site, and efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the suspect. DSP (East-1) Alay Vats confirmed that an unidentified assailant had attacked the woman, resulting in serious injuries to her private parts.
The police stated that a case would be registered based on the victim’s statement, and further actions would follow. Investigators are considering all aspects of the case and are actively gathering evidence from the crime scene and surrounding areas. Currently, raids are ongoing at potential locations to capture the assailant.
