Anant Ambani Praises PM Modis Digital India Vision, Commits to Developed India

Mumbai, October 28 (Daily Kiran) : Anant Ambani commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for ‘Digital India’ during a recent event in Mumbai, stating that this vision has provided a purpose for Jio’s journey. Speaking at the listing of Jio Platforms, he expressed gratitude for Reliance’s alignment with the Digital India initiative and the ongoing support from the Prime Minister.

“We extend our deep appreciation to Prime Minister Modi. His vision for ‘Digital India’ has given Jio its purpose, and we have continuously received his guidance and support,” Ambani remarked. He emphasized that his group will continue to play a significant role in realizing the vision of a ‘Developed India.’

His comments echoed those made by Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries, during Jio’s launch in 2016. At that time, Mukesh Ambani dedicated Jio’s services to the Digital India initiative, focusing on providing affordable digital connectivity to millions of Indians.

Describing the listing as an opportunity for gratitude, Anant Ambani noted that this achievement belongs to the millions of Indians who have trusted Jio since its inception. He likened the ringing of the stock exchange bell to the sound of a temple bell, stating that business is akin to worship, culminating in sharing ‘prasad’ with everyone. “Today, Jio is being shared with all of India,” he added.

Reflecting on the company’s legacy, Anant Ambani mentioned the dreams of Reliance’s founder, Dhirubhai Ambani, and the vision carried forward by his father, Mukesh Ambani. He highlighted Mukesh Ambani’s aspiration for a boundless India and Dhirubhai Ambani’s demonstration that ordinary Indians can achieve extraordinary goals.

Addressing customers and shareholders, he reaffirmed that Jio was built by the people of India, and fulfilling their hopes remains the company’s primary objective.
