Gurugram, August 2 (H.S.) — A woman allegedly stabbed her live-in partner in the chest, leading to his death in the DLF Phase-3 police station area of Gurugram. The accused has been arrested, police confirmed on Saturday evening.

According to police spokesperson Sandeep Kumar, the deceased originally hailed from the village of Baliyawas in Gurugram district. He was married and had two daughters. His wife is reportedly unwell.

The incident came to light when DLF Phase-3 police received information that a man had been admitted to Narayana Hospital in critical condition. Upon arrival, doctors declared him dead.

Police then reached the scene of the incident and initiated an investigation. Teams including the ACP, fingerprint experts, and forensic personnel examined the site. The body was sent for post-mortem examination. Based on a complaint filed by the deceased’s nephew, a case of murder was registered.

Following initial inquiries, the police arrested the accused woman, identified as Yasmeet Kaur, who had been living with the victim for the past one and a half years.

During interrogation, Yasmeet reportedly confessed that she was unhappy with her partner Harish frequently coming to her house. An argument broke out between them on Saturday morning, during which she fatally stabbed him with a knife.
