Weather Shift Brings Temporary Relief from Scorching Heat in Noida

Noida, May 23: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an orange alert for extreme heat and heat waves, prompting a sudden change in weather on Saturday morning. Thick clouds covered the sky, and strong winds created a storm-like sensation for residents.

Light drizzles were reported in several areas, providing brief respite from the sweltering heat. However, this relief is expected to be short-lived, as the IMD has confirmed that the heat will persist for the next five days.

According to the local weather report and forecast from the IMD, heat wave conditions will remain from May 23 to May 28. The department predicts maximum temperatures could reach between 44 to 45 degrees Celsius during this period. On May 23, a maximum temperature of 44 degrees and a minimum of 28 degrees are anticipated. The IMD has warned of heat waves accompanied by strong surface winds in the afternoon and evening.

On May 24, temperatures are expected to rise to 45 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of 27 degrees. The same conditions of strong winds and heat are expected throughout the day. The forecast for May 25 indicates a maximum of 45 degrees and a minimum of 30 degrees. Warnings for heat waves at 45 degrees are also issued for May 26 and 27.

On May 26, the minimum temperature may drop to 29 degrees, with humidity levels ranging between 20 to 30 percent. By May 27, humidity could rise to between 25 to 40 percent, potentially increasing discomfort for residents. The forecast for May 28 also predicts a maximum of 45 degrees and a minimum of 30 degrees. Although Saturday’s weather change brought some relief, experts suggest it is merely a temporary shift.

Intense sunlight, hot winds, and rising temperatures could pose challenges for residents in the coming days. The weather department advises people to avoid going out during the afternoon, stay hydrated, and take precautions against the sun.
