
Beijing, April 18: Wang Yi, a member of the Central Politburo of the Chinese Communist Party and Foreign Minister, held discussions with Namibia’s Foreign Minister, Selma Ashipala-Muzunga, on April 17 in Beijing.
Wang emphasized that the development and deepening of China-Namibia cooperation meet the expectations of both nations’ citizens. This partnership aligns with the broader trend of China-Africa relations and symbolizes the unity and self-reliance of the Global South. China is committed to implementing the significant agreements reached by the leaders of both nations, enhancing the alignment of development strategies, effectively utilizing the benefits of China’s zero-tariff policy, and advancing projects in key areas such as agriculture, public welfare, and youth.
Muzunga remarked that Namibia and China are traditional partners and true friends. Namibia is eager to maintain high-level exchanges with China, expand cooperation across various sectors, and elevate bilateral relations to a new and higher level. Namibia supports the four global initiatives proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping.
