Bengaluru, March 29: In an exciting opening match of IPL 2026 held at M. Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) triumphed over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by six wickets. Kohli became the first batsman to score 4,000 runs while chasing targets in the IPL. RCB faced a challenging target of 202 runs set by SRH. The team’s start was rocky, with Kohli’s opening partner, Phil Salt, dismissed for just 8 runs. However, Kohli steadied the innings alongside Devdutt Padikkal, forming a century partnership for the second wicket.
