New Delhi, May 9: Vinod Bansal, the national spokesperson for the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), has made significant remarks regarding the rising political strength of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in West Bengal and the role of the Hindu community.
In a post on the social media platform X, Bansal congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and the BJP organization for their political success in Bengal.
He stated that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the BJP has expanded from one seat to an impressive 207 seats in West Bengal. He described this achievement as a major democratic victory for the state since independence and paid tribute to the hundreds of workers and thousands of Hindu supporters who sacrificed for this cause.
Bansal emphasized the importance of the message conveyed by BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari, who declared the state as “Adhikari,” marking a shift from fear to trust. He noted that this reflects a change in the state and a newfound confidence among the people.
He also welcomed Home Minister Amit Shah’s assurance regarding the prevention of illegal immigration and the removal of infiltrators, calling it a crucial issue for national security. Bansal expressed hope that solutions to the long-standing problems faced by the Hindu community are now on the horizon.
He asserted that the BJP government will work to restore democratic order and normalcy in the state through women’s safety, cow protection, and reliable administration.
Bansal pointed out that the Hindu community in West Bengal has struggled for decades, often resorting to the courts to uphold their religious festivals and traditions. He referred to the violence in the state as a “dark chapter” in Bengal’s glorious cultural and spiritual heritage.
He expressed optimism for a revival of Bengali culture, pride, and spiritual identity in the future, stating that the state can now move towards development and social stability. He concluded his message with a wish for the state’s bright future, signing off with “Shubhamastu.”
